A Conversation About Racism

A Conversation About Racism

For a four week period, we are hosting a videoconference discussion on an important and timely topic, sparked by the death of George Floyd and the resulting worldwide protests.   Join Deacon Rey Spadoni on Tuesday evenings at 7PM, beginning June 23 and continuing through July 14.  Those who participate are invited to consider this topic based on the content noted below.  Meetings will include reactions to the assigned materials and then a respectful conversation to review impact, insights and implications.  The meetings will take place via the Zoom platform and will be video only; telephone dial-in will not be possible for this series.

The primary focus will be on Bryan Stevenson’s book, “Just Mercy” which can be picked up at Amazon or other retailers.  Note that this book is a work of nonfiction and contains difficult subject matter.
