Summer Theology

Summer Theology

How should we read the Bible in the 21stcentury? Often we hear that the Bible is unscientific or even immoral. Some simply say an ancient text has no claim on our lives today. Over three, seminar-style sessions we will look at reading the Bible within the Tradition of the Church according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Second Vatican Council’s teaching Dei Verbum, and Pope Benedict XVI’s Verbum Domini. The goal of our time together will be to deepen our Faith in the Word who is “the same yesterday, today and forever” (Heb. 13:8) and equip Christians for evangelization.    As interest builds, we will start a new iteration.

The instructor is Josh Lehman. A local catechist, Josh holds an M.A. in Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. He is a father of 5 and a graduate student in philosophy at Boston College.
